Has anyone ever played Rune Factory or any of the other Harvest Moons? I was just wondering what it is like.

I love Harvest Moon and the one that I played the most was the one on GBC. However, I own GBC, N64, GC, and DS versions. I am interested in Rune Factory but I know nothing about it and trying to use it as an excuse to hold off on even more spendings.

I never did get a family in any of the games. However, I DID have one hell of a summer crop!

So is it like an RPG or is it almost like Actraiser 1?

Harvest Moon like ActRaiser? Hmm...I wouldnt say that.

Not sure what to compare it to. It has a real-time day structure where you have to attend to certain tasks, meet certain people, and accomplish certain goals.

Think Majora's Mask without the adventure and the in-game notebook.

Rune Factory is very addicting! I actually like it better than many other similar DS titles. There is actually an adventure portion of the game and getting new weapons is similar to upgrading the weapons in Dragon Quest 8.
