It's not that. I kinda expected Howard to win... the House of Reps but NOT the Senate too!!!
The majority of Australians are politically ignorant to vote for the same party to the lower house and the upper house (aka the House of REVIEW).

Proportional voting was supposed to reduce that likelihood but huzzah, we won the lottery!

We basically voted fascism into place.
