You know who I hate? The effing idiot who designed the SOLO coffee lids used, among other places, on Starbucks coffee. I think these pieces of crap are the #1 reason I always drink iced coffee instead of hot. Well, that, and the hot coffee always takes 15 minutes to cool enough to be drinkable ( Read more... )

Do you not have cupholders in your car? Also, I must say I'm jealous of your heated seats. That's the one thing I miss about my Jeep.

Yeah I have cupholders. The problem is, when the car jostles, the cup moves rapidly with the car as one, and the coffee is not of like mind. It actually works a hell of a lot better to hold the coffee in your hand while cornering and such, but it does make shifting difficult....

You should get a travel mug from Starbucks. It makes things much easier. I was going to suggest just drinking your coffee at stoplights, but I guess you don't have too many of those on your commute. I feel your pain about trying to drink and shift though. Try talking on a cell phone at the same time as you're doing both those things. ;-)
