General
Canon Source: Katekyo Hitman Reborn!
Canon Format: Manga
Character's Name: Kyouya Hibari
Character's Age: 15ish

Abilities
Character's Canon Abilities: Hibari’s weapon of choice is a pair of highly-concealable, collapsible, steel tonfa and he is very, very good at using them to beat people up. In close-combat Hibari is a fast, hard hitter capable of both brutal violence and clever strategy, but Hibari’s best weapon is his own relentlessness. No matter how injured he is, he’ll keep fighting until he’s won, even past the point of consciousness. He simply doesn’t believe anyone can defeat him, which is why he can get away with threatening to bite people to death and still be terrifying.

Hibari also has something called a Dying Will Flame, which is basically a form of energy in his world. A list of the abilities he can perform with it are here.
Conditional: If your character has no superhuman canon abilities, what dormant ability will you give them? N/A
Weapons: A pair of steel tonfa as pictured in the upper leftmost panel as well as his box weapons and ring.

History/Personality/Plans/etc.
Character History: Wiki
Point in Canon: He’ll be taken from the point where everyone is gathered for the Vongola Inheritance ceremony, but before it actually starts.

Character Personality: Hibari is something of a very powerful, very terrifying bully. He is obsessed with his school, Namimori Middle, and the surrounding town and will resort to violence and several other underhanded means to maintain the city to his standard of ‘discipline’. He doles out violence because he’s bored, or as punishment, or just because he’s annoyed. Sometimes he enjoys toying with his prey, setting up almost impossible to win ‘games’ and then biting the unfortunate victim to death when they inevitably lose. There is no-one to check him, due to his strength, and so he is arrogantly confident in everything he does.

He is especially offended by what he refers to as "crowding" (see: people crowding together), seeing it as disgusting, and an irritating habit of ‘herbivores’. In addition, his fiercely independent nature will not ever allow him to depend on others for assistance, and any aid he receives will be viewed as a favor and paid back as quickly as possible. He hates being restrained, whether by a debt, a feeling, or a physical tether, more than anything.

Casual violence may keep Hibari amused, but what he really wants is a fight: an honest challenge to pit himself against. Despite already being terrifyingly good at physical combat, Hibari is constantly looking for more strong opponents. He’s relentless in seeking out prey and relentless in pursuing victory and more than once he’s come out alive from fights that should have killed him. Anyone who proves themselves strong has Hibari’s respect, and these are the only people Hibari will recognize as having authority, such as Reborn. Reborn aside, the only person on the face the of Earth Hibari seems to tolerate is his immediate subordinate, Tetsuya.

What will come as a surprise to most people is that Hibari seems to earnestly love his school, Namimori Middle. He has the anthem as his ring tone. He can always be found patrolling the halls, looking for miscreants trying to destroy the tranquility of his beloved school and summarily dispatching them. The benefit of the Namomori, as well as the promise of a greater fight, or an owed favor, are the only leverages that will make him cooperate with anyone. When not fighting, Hibari is mostly bored. He likes napping, preferably up high and in sunny places, reading, order and tranquility. He gets along surprisingly well with animals in a way that is vaguely reminiscent of a Disney princess.

Character Plans: Hibari has a good deal of talent for killing things in the face and organizing crime; I’m mostly excited to play him in a setting where he can make full use of both of these talents and to see what kind of living he carves out.

Appearance/PB: Here

First Person Sample

[the screen flickers on to reveal a dark haired young man in a suit, but that’s not important. What’s important is the murderous aura coming through the screen. Yes actually coming through the screen.]

There has been a mistake. I’m not staying in this city of herbivores who invent more ways to hide then fight. [he snorts, derisively, but before he can close phone the camera is blocked by what appears to be a ball of feathers. It chirps happily, ‘Hibari~♥’ before Hibari carefully transfers the small bird from one hand to other]

[and then the phone is snapped shut]

Third Person Sample For the first ten minutes after his arrival on the baseball diamond Hibari was simply too angry to even realize he was nauseous. As he had caught sight of the signs around the diamond, his reaction had been someone has defiled Namimori immediately followed by I will bite them to death. Almost before the thought finished, however, he realized he wasn’t in Namimori at all, which just meant someone had taken him from Namimori against his will and they were still going to die; he did not have time for this while that Shimon vermin was still scampering around, unpunished, with Namimori blood on their hands.

The signs, as far as he bothered with, looked to be nothing but profanity and some vague warnings against an even vaguer threat. ‘The Darkness’ didn’t mean anything to him, but in conjunction with ‘newmeat’, it caught his interest. It implied things, things that slowly turned Hibari’s anger to interest. There had been so much fighting lately, but none of it very personally satisfying for Hibari. If so many mewling herbivores feared this ‘Darkness’ then maybe, just maybe it would make an interesting warm-up before he returned to Namimori to deal with Shimon.

By now the aches and dizziness were making themselves apparent to Hibari, but they were ignored in favor of curling his grip tightly around the haft of his tonfa. The greeter was likewise ignored (after Hibari struck him for being incompetent at his job. What kind of greeter couldn’t properly answer a question as simple as ‘Where is the Darkness?”). Hibari didn’t need any further information, anyway. The Darkness was obviously somewhere hiding in the dark, so that is where Hibari went, quickly leaving the light of the diamond behind.
