These days nothing excites me more than saving money.
My car insurance bill just came in and they lowered my rate by 100 bucks. I guess it's because I turn 25 this year. Or maybe it's because I stopped crashing my car into everything in the past few years.

Either way I feel like I won the lotto.

Although the lotto would be way cooler to win.

LOL - I feel the same way about stuff like that. I FINALLY have a decent savings account (well...no it's still decent after my big purchase yesterday (more on that later) and it feels SO NICE to start getting my credit cards all paid off and still have a 'cushion'.

Man...are we growing up ;-)

I know it does feel very nice to have a 'cushion'!
Although my cushion is going to be put to use very very soon for a house hopefully. Then I get to start all over. Man...it's a good thing but it feels horrible.

Part of my spending is my own fault. I don't have credit card bills but I'm totally obsessed with pilates and spend an obscene amount of money on 'extra hobbies' like that.

Haha...I can relate..my hobbies are ballroom/latin/swing dance, cycling and photography. I don't have any CHEAP hobby. :-)

Buying a house is an amazing experience. I did that two years ago. It will set you back for a bit, but if you just keep in mind that it's temporary and it will be worth it in the end (unless you plan on moving in the next 3 years), then you're doing the right thing :-)

Good luck!
