So, I haven't updated this in about 6 months. Little baby was born, late, on her own schedule. Mostly :) So, I have a question that I've been pondering the last day or so. Very weighty stuff
( Read more... )
I have also seen those car-seat blanket-like covers that line the seat. I would probably buy the Columbia Sportwear one out of all of yours...but maybe in a size 1 bigger, so I could layer under the fleece.
Okay, no, not really. I'm with Ed, the pink number 3 is cute. Of course, I'm voting purely on aesthetics, not the whole "how easy is it to get the baby in and out of it" questions.
Might I suggest a fleece bunting (Lands End has some nice ones, also LLBean has been known to carry some good ones, also The Right Start catalog, who I believe is online, too... The reason I say fleece is because it will get you through to January when you can then get a warmer one (because by then you're cutie patootie will probably have outgrown the fleece one, lol!) :)
I'm a Scrabble person who met your husband (I'm presuming Ed is your hubby since he referenced you in his LJ today) on Sunday in Philly, name is Brenda, LJ persona you see here...
Good luck with that decision, if you haven't made it yet.
Be well, and hug to the little one, and a hug to you, too, for being a great and obviously caring, mom.
Yes, I am Ed's wife. Nice to "meet" you. Sorry to hear about your accident the other day :(
Thanks for the links. I went to a consignment sale last weekend and wound up buying BOTH a fleece and a warmer one (for less than the cheapest sale one I saw!) The only downside is that there were only ones available in 6-9 mos, no 9-12 mos. Herself is currently wearing 6-9month clothes. So, I probably have the good-til-December part covered. It's my hope that by December they'll be on clearance and I won't mind buying another.
THere's another consignment shop this Saturday. I'm going to try to hit that and see what I get. I like consignment for kids clothes. They are outgrown so quickly. It's odd in this part of NJ - there is no consignment sales for months, and then there are two two weekends in a row. Go figure.
Anyway, thanks for the advice! That second one is a great deal. If they had it in 9-12, it'd probably be mine already!
sorry those links didn't work out for you, but the consignment shop things sound terrific! I LOVE A BARGAIN!
thanks for your concern about the accident, i'm doing better, but the neck and low back are still quite unhappy... worst part is i just noticed today how i have this nasty bruise across my abdomen from the seatbelt.
hope we can meet someday, your hubby is a sweety, glad you have found one another, everyone deserves to be happy together.

They also have a nice looking fleece bunting there, too...
Forget The Right Start I previously referenced, they're mostly equipment stuff not clothes... I meant to mention Campmor to you, though, they specialize in all outdoor stuff... here's a link to a Polartec 300 Fleece Bunting, and it's on SALE! :)
