It's not so bad. It means I can do lots of work, and it's quiet and nice.

[ Oh crud. She mashes the elevator button again. ]

There's a saying about that, isn't there? About only working and never taking a break...

[ She snaps her fingers, in time with the "ding" of the elevator. ] That's the one!

[ This time, she steps in and hits the button for her floor. ]

Since the moment my Brother told me that one, I've had to wonder who's Jack.

Isn't that a really common English name? I think it'd be hard to tell who they were talking about... if they were talking about someone.
