[It's a very energetic, brisk voice that cuts through the slight hiss of background sound. She's in her office, so it's not hard at all to hear her, but her accented voice is naturally strident and maybe a little loud. The accent is slightly hard to place, but anyone from the south of England-- ( Read more... )

That's exciting! Will you be playing against the football team, too? [ She asks, being on said team ] I don't think the coach told us about this yet.

And I can vouch for Patchy, too--

[ A beat while she backpedals. ] Ah, I mean, Patchouli. I'm the friend she was talking about. [ Beaming! ]

I had intended to keep the classes playing against one another, since I'd imagine the football team here is much more accustomed to playing than some of the students. But maybe an exhibition match, with a volunteer team, might be a good idea-- I'll have to talk to your coach about it.

Ah, Patchouli's friend. It's very kind of you to help her out. She's lucky, to have such a good friend at her side. May I ask your name?

That sounds like it'd be a lot of fun. [ Meiling was psyched up already. ] I'm hoping some of them get really into it and decide to try out, sometime~

And I'm lucky to have Patchouli off the field, believe me. [ She smiles. ] Of course, Miss Madison. I'm Mei-Ling Hong.

I can only hope so-- team sports aren't just fun games, but they teach some valuable lessons about teamwork and social interaction, too. I'll have a chat with your coach, and we'll see about a match, hm?

It's a pleasure, Mei-Ling. If there's anything I can do or anyone you need me to talk to to make things easier for Patchouli and yourself, please do tell me.

Mm, you're right! Fitness, sportsmanship, camaraderie! [ Accent aside, at least she picked the proper word. ] You can't really ask for more.

Thank you very much, Miss Madison. I'll do just that! I know Patchouli's stronger than she thinks, but I won't push her any harder than I know she can take.
