LOCATION/SETTING: Just outside the school.
DATE & TIME 8pm.
WARNINGS Ghosts(?), swearing, and a bunch of kids who are gonna get in a lot of trouble when the teachers find out.

During / After the Ghost Hunt

[ Near the edge of the woods, just past the border where no one should pass, least of all students, there is something in the air. It's a voice, quiet and creepy, echoing through the canopies. At first, it could easily be mistaken for the wind whistling in the trees, but when someone gets closer to the source, the reverberation makes it more obvious that it is someone -- or something -- singing.

To the observant, a careful look upward will reveal a silhouette of a small object perched on a thick branch, with what looks to be wings jutting out of its back. Perhaps it's some oversized owl, or perhaps it is something more sinister?

The haunting, wordless melody might make it hard to focus... up until it ceases and there is light coughing in its place.

Mm. Needs more work. ]

[Flandre is not an observant individual. More importantly a tree was talking and this was magical.

...well, singing.

Either way Flandre was gawking up at the completely wrong tree.]

[ ...what's this? Someone is down there? Mystia doesn't stop, but she does turn her head to look down, no doubt changing the direction the sound is coming from. ]

[Indeed! Flandre promptly goes toddling off after it, a little closer, though still in the wrong direction. What is triangulation?]

Why are you singing, tree?

[...yep. She's perfectly okay with talking to shrubbery.

[ Amusement colors her notes, and she tapers off so she can speak, still sing-songy. Might as well have a little fun while she can. ]

Children cannot come and play,
so I stay and sing the day away~

[ Mystia is careful to not shift too much on the branch, or laugh. It's hard not to, though. ]

Huh. [ Gullible, or perhaps just a bit dumb. Still, she feels a little bad. She doesn't want to hurt anyone, just play a little.

Mystia stops singing and lays along the branch, poking her head downward. ] ...are you okay?

[Flandre wasn't injured so much as just...grumbling, where she had flopped over in the dirt. Possibly in French.

She doesn't seem to hear Voice-in-the-Tree this time around. Or if she does, she's not paying that much attention right this second.]]
