[ Firo spent much of Saturday gaping at the town and getting lost. Now it's time to buckle down and buy some souvenirs for his family. You can find him looking perplexed in the middle of a book store, browsing kitchenware or flitting between stores. ]

{{she bumps into him as she's flipping through a book. She looks up, raising an eyebrow, then asks-}} How tall are you anyway, kid?

[mini_martillo]

[ Firo takes a step backwards and scowls up at her. He'd never realized just how tall she was. ]

None of your damn business.

[blackandbluemix]

((snickers)) Sure as hell not anywhere close to five foot nine.

[mini_martillo]

Well not everybody's the height of a goddamned... giraffe, okay?

[blackandbluemix]

{{raises an eyebrow}} A giraffe? Really?

[mini_martillo]

Whatever. My point is that I'm not short; you're just too tall.

[ That's a lie and he's sad to know it. ]

[blackandbluemix]

That is a lie. That is a blatant, outright lie and you know it.

[ He brings himself up to his full (minuscule) height. ]

It is not! And there's still the chance I could grow, you know!

((dryly)) How old are you?

[mini_martillo]

[ He says it suspiciously. Just what is she planning? ]

...Seventeen.

[blackandbluemix]

Yeah, you've got about a snowball's chance in hell of growin' any taller.

[mini_martillo]

[ There's a pause, as if this revelation greatly troubles him. ]

...Says you. And who cares, anyway? I bet I could still kick your ass.

[blackandbluemix]

{{hesitates, slowly setting the book on a shelf. then immediately pulls him into a headlock, giving him a noogie}} What did you say?

[mini_martillo]

[ Much as he prides himself on being able to quickly react to threatening situations, Firo's completely caught off guard. ]

H-hey!

[ Growling in annoyance, he tries to stomp down on her foot while attempting to dig his elbow into her side. ]

{{sidesteps him neatly, letting go of him and picking up her book in the process}} Hey, hey... no fighting in bookstores, kid. Take it outside. {{grins and scampers off to the register}}
