Meiling pokes her head in the doorway. She is wearing her gym gear, hair braided and tucked into the folds of the hood, which is strung so tight that all one can really see is her eyes and nose. Her gym bag is hanging off of a shoulder, and takes up more space in the open doorway than the girl does, herself.

This is the look of someone who's guilty of something...

"Marisa?" Hopefully she could hear her over the music. Hopefully she wasn't being a bother...

"They'll regret it after the game, of course!" A soft giggle. "I think I kind of get it, now. I'll have to be more careful to watch for those updates to the -- what did you call them, again?

"Drivers."

Marisa waved Meiling closer and showed her that the data was being transferred over so she could use the device again. "See, it's working now. And this program right here," she said opening the program, "is the utility you can use to check for new updates on the tracker, ze. Just make sure it's plugged into the computer first."

She watches intently, nodding. "Got it!" And she did. For now. She'll have to put this in a file later so she can recall it when the device breaks. You can say a lot of things about Meiling's technological follies, but she rarely approaches Marisa with the same problem twice.

Meiling scoots over to dig into her bag again. Moments later she presents the Digital Witch with her reward for her hard work: a simple, small box of domino squares.

Oh, and a smile, of course. "Thanks again for all your hard work. I'm lucky I caught you, since it wasn't even why I came over!" But she felt sheepish at the doorway because she heard that music in the doorway and knew whose collection it would be from.

Ooo. Marisa liked those snacks. She took the box and set it to the side for later. Maybe she'd share one with Floe when her roommate came back; it might make her crappy day better.

"So... why did you come over if it wasn't for this?"

"I had something for Floe, too," she admitted as she pulled the hood down off of her head and paused with a slight shiver, glancing around. "--wow, it's cold in here."

"You get used to it," Marisa replied regarding the temperature. Seriously, one should wonder why the blonde could possibly be as comfortable as she seemed to be in just her blouse and skirt.

"You're not gonna try to date my roommate, are you?" Marisa teased.

"Not when I'm still sweaty, I don't." And with a short laugh, she pulled the hood back up.

Meiling clapped a hand on Marisa's back, completely ignorant of the teasing tone, there. "We're just friends!" She exclaimed, completely oblivious to Floe's actual intentions.

Marisa was caught off-guard with Meiling's hand on her like that and the much smaller girl had to catch herself on the kotatsu. Sighing, she shook her head a little seeing that response. Meiling really was clueless, wasn't she?

"Uh-huh. They all start out as just friends, ze." As much as Marisa liked Floe, her roommate was a bit of a cat on the prowl a lot. She had no issues with it though she'd be more inclined to give in if Floe wasn't so free love and all and she could sense a trap being laid when she saw it.

"So, what'd you bring her? I have no idea when she'll be back, but you can leave it."

At that, Meiling shook her head, too. Why would someone date a friend? That didn't make much sense to her, but she let it go. "Oh, um... it's just more of those--" She pops the second box out of the bag and sets it on the table. "--except these have strawberry filling."

...and this box also has a pink ribbon tied around it, sealed with a bow.

Really? Was Meiling really that dumb? Gods, Marisa wanted to shake the girl and see if that made things clearer for her.

"...a pink ribbon. You add one of those onto gifts for all your friends?"

She blinked. "No?" Meiling turned the box over where it could be seen that the box was quite crinkled. "I dropped it and the whole thing came apart. This is the only way it'll stay closed."

Sheepishly, she looked side-to-side and leaned in closer to whisper. "I... also ate the really badly-squished ones. I hope she doesn't notice."

"..."

Marisa slapped her forehead with a hand and rubbed it. "You're special, China. You know that, right? Whatever. I'm sure Floe will notice but not really care."

"You think so?" She smiled. "Good!" Meiling sets the box back and starts packing up her stuff -- with slow, deliberate care, instead of just tossing electronics into the bag.

"Thanks again for all your help. I should get going."

It was a good thing Meiling took care packing her electronics up or Marisa would've smacked her or something. They really needed to be treated with the care one would a lover. She almost wanted to give the girl a book to help her figure that out, but decided she didn't want to have to field the inevitable questions.

She's leave that to Floe.

"No problem. Later, ze."

Yes, let's do that. Meiling stands and hoists her bag over one shoulder as she calls over the other, her feet already carrying her to the door. "See you around!"

And then she was gone~
