Not that it's very clever or geeky, but the beach might be a good one. The ambient noise of ocean waves, sea-gulls and tourist chatter is very recognizable. Then you can talk about the secret dangers of the Obama administration signing off on BP not having a safety back-up plan.

OH or like some city noises and you could pretend you're a superhero and give some kind of soliloquy about protecting the innocent.

hear hear! the first thing i thought was the ocean, as well. though that might be cliche (unless you of course take the obama/bp angle lol)

Thanks guys! Haha yeah, my mind went straight to the beach too.

Actually, coming up with three minutes of script seems to be the hardest part of this for me. The one I'm working on now is about The Legend of Zelda, and I'm going to play the theme song by recording it through my speakers (not *exactly* a home-made soundscape, but teacher-san did give me permission!).

When I was almost done, it occured me that I should have done SUPERMAN. I'm such an idiot.
