I am very honored to announce that I have received a scholarship to Costume College and will be attending next year! And hopefully teaching, if I figure out what I should teach... (suggestions welcome!). This scholarship is SO helpful and made all the difference in my being able to attend. I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone next year

Is that $5 taffeta from Fabric Mart? I got 10 yards in that sale. Yummy stuff, and a great idea.
Class ideas... hmm. I don't know if it's something you can address, but I would love a class that talked about how to do authentic 18th c. construction when you're by yourself. The people whose work I admire the most either go to B&T workshops, or work at CW, or have reenactment-group events, so they can drape and fit like that. None of those are available to me. I do the best I can, but I worry that I over-engineer my drafting and that my work just will never be up to snuff because I can't drape. I would really appreciate any ideas or tips you have, or pointers on what to get a buddy for, and what is totally fine to pattern. I dunno if that would be popular with most people, but I would really like to stop second-guessing myself. :D (It really is all about me!)

Yes, I bought 10 yards and then went back for 10 more when they sold it again... And then Farmhouse Fabrics was selling some for a whopping $7 (laugh!) so I got 6 more yards! I'm drowning in the stuff! ;-)

Whew, I didn't know they did it again... I think I did see the FF one, but I was being frugal by that time. :p You DO have a lot! Excellent! I got 8 yards of the white that B&T had for my Romney gown, and used just about all of it, so it's good to have a lot of those narrow yardages.
