Now that the museum commission is finished and delivered, I can finally start working on my outfit for the 17th century clothing conferece next month. For the past couple of months, I really wasn't feeling historical sewing as much as I used to, but my mojo is finally back. I always feel like no costume plans are ever set in stone. Sometimes, even after we make the darn thing, it gets altered in the future. Things happen. ;p

Loving your 17th century plans! Are you going to have shoes with enormous pom-poms? Because those look fabulous!

I'm just awful with changing my costuming plans - I still tend to feel guilty after having posted about them in detail, and then abandoning it for something Even Better! but I love brainstorming costume, so I doubt it will ever stop. Mostly I've accepted it, haha.

And I love your inspiration images - can't wait to see what you do! I've always found the ornate gowns and ruffs a striking contrast to that great expanse of decolletage...I'm very interested to see how that's engineered in a real garment! Although I guess it depends on the individual's "tracts of land", heh.
