"No, it's a random stranger. Duh! of course it's me you dummy!"
He found himself chuckling.
"..I see I can still make you laugh then..."
"That didn't change at all" he grinned, agreeing.
There was a pause from the other line "..then what did?"
He froze, feeling a familiar wave of hurt in his chest. he sighed, unsure what to say "I just--"
"It's fine...it's done. I've--we've accepted it"
"Hee--"
"Babo, I just called to say Happy Birthday"
"..."
"Wait, don't tell me you've forgotten..."
"Well..."
"Hangeng if i'm right beside you i'm going to beat you senseless. what kind of idiot forgets his own birthday!?"
"Hey! I didn't mean too! I was just too busy and---"
He could hear his snort from the other line "Yeah, you've been too busy to call or even text me" a statement.
He sighed, guilty as charged "I know, I'm sorry--"
"Don't be, I'm proud of you Geng, you desrve where you are right now"
"..."
"..."
"...Hee--"
"I miss you Geng,,I'll miss you..." a soft whisper.
"I miss you too, Hey it's not like we'll never see each other again, right?"
"..."
"...Hee?"
"I love you Babo, I'll always be proud of you..."
"Why are you saying that? Is there something wrong? Come on, I don't like that tone of voice Heechul.."

He felt himself gasping out in relief "Where are you?" he felt his mouth say, suddenly.

"Where are you, right now?"
"Tokyo, what the hell has gotten into you?"
"perfect" he grinned "Did you forget Hee? today is my birthday!"
"..I see you finally remembered without me telling you"
"Do me a favor and never remind me again"
"..huh?"
"Nevermind...oh, and Hee?"

"I love you too"
