I'm a huge Julie Taymor fan and I hate to see people saying horrible things about her ;__; That being said, this show seems like it could be one of her rare.. I don't wanna say failure but, it seems ill-conceived, even though I have never seen anything by her that I didn't like... and I have seen some of her WEIRD stuff... I've been to see an exhibit of her many works a few times and really, she is so cool. :<

But, can I possibly like anything that Glenn Beck likes, lol.. ;_; Oh, I guess so, I totally love breathing, I'm sure he does too ( ... )

I try my best not to say anything bad about her personally. I'm a very big fan of her work, and am still looking very much forward to seeing The Tempest. what was her work at the exhibit like?

Hnnnng, I'll grudgingly admit the points he makes about the skill of the actors (especially during the twisted wire part) is true. That takes skill. But otherwise, yeah xDD

There's waaaay too much spectacle in the show for me to think it wasn't meant to be taken seriously. Even if they did it incredibly well (which it sounds like they did in parts, but not in others), it takes away from the audience's suspension of disbelief.
