Then he hears the door creak open, and then the bed sinks a little and arms wind around his waist. A soft palm finds his heartbeat. A cheek rests on his back, and he breathes easier.

Brian being grateful that Justin was not the one with cancer was so heart-rending. And how Justin's mere presence and simple touches could make him feel better was also moving.

That was beautiful.

In my mind the cancer times were full of quiet moments -- those two never really needed words.
