It seems like there's something else but mostly I'm getting the distinct impression that you are nonverbally compelling me to more frequently contact you. Eww I'm never talking to you again. What happened to the good old days, when I could tell you loved me without having to hear it, when between every, "Stop calling!" and, "Leave me alone," I could hear, "I want you to want me."* And I did, oh, sweet darlin' I did, and our camouflaged romance lasted seven golden summers, and I went to the ice cream man truck with or without you but so much preferred your company, and we would get the cartoon characters with the gumball eyes, and you would be ordering and I would be peeking from around the side of the truck, and were you glancing at me in exasperation?
