This is a post about inner creatures. I've looked in myself for a long time and wondered... actually, my inner creature more showed itself to me than being unearthed by me.
A major part of my life revolves around this, but my inner creature is a Drake. Nothing traditional probably, however, from what I know of this creature:
When my inner creature first showed itself to me, I was afraid of it and thought it was evil. It was something that perhaps is/was a part of my soul, or simply resonated so strongly with me that space and time might not have been a complete barrier. The creature is powerfully built (roughly as strong as 20 men) and around 8 feet tall (not including tail). Its scales are a shimmering black, and it is magical. All this I know deep down inside. I also know that in its time, it lived with Dragons and Humans, and was brutally oppressed by dragons. Dragons had magic, nothing as strong as a Drakes, yet were so much more physically that they enslaved Drakes into servitude. They even tore the Drakes wings to keep them earth bound, which is a source of great saddness to this beast. Recently I have come to sympathise with it, and especially its dream, which in part, is my dream as well.
I see this beast flying through the clouds incrediably fast, using magic and occassionally its healed wings. It travels and feels the wind... that is its definition of Freedom, of life... flying through the clouds...
That is my inner beast, my totem creature. I know it instinctively, as if it were a part of me.
Why I'm saying this stuff here and now I don't know, I just... wanted to share I guess. So look if you want, but itll most likely seem the stupid prattling of an idle mind.
