Since Half Dragon isn't +4 like it was presented to me, I don't think it has the same problems. I think you should take a +4 and get the wings, make James give em too ya! It seems like they are an important part of your charector concept.

I thiink there was some misscommunication. I at least thought that you originally wanted all of the lycanthrope abilities and that half-dragon was a +4. I'd say that you can do the half-dragon, with wings, and shifting for a +4, might be willing to add something else for free if you make good arguement for it.

Really couldn't make much of a good arguement for ANYTHING except the shifting and the wings... I'm gonna look into maybe modifying Shifter to this... *shrugs* could work...
Dan, I don't think you would tear it apart. I think you would approach it with at least an initially skeptical attitude, though. You tend to be ... defensive? when it comes to rules interpretations (but so do I, so don't take that as me bashing you!).
The way you've explained it to me, I don't think this is unreasonable at all. My 2 cents.
And just because this didn't come across like I wanted to above, let me add that I think you always try your best to be fair. :) We are all victim to biases, but you seem like you're trying to be conscious of that and be fair despite it. Biases can be vicious in the face of fairness, and I admire your attempts to overcome it.
