My anatomy teacher actually showed up today and lectured.
It is WAY, WAY TOO CUTE how excited he gets about the miracle of life.

So, ah, decent "first" day of school there. Taking Anatomy/Government/Web Design/Peer leadership.
For Peer I'm basically a teacher's assistant, splitting time between my old Econ and Lit teachers (both of whom love me, because they had to specifically request me). I grade papers, run for coffee, whatever. I got one of the less demanding jobs, ( Read more... ) -

buh guh entertaining groups of adults is a CHALLENGE. no breakfast, just lots and lots of cooking this morning, and cleaning. not my idea, not my idea, but if I can stay awake today it will be fun. i made the most epic cornbread ever, actually, and color got to do the dessert (he makes brownies from heaven, it's his thing).

you have to understand, my mom has a thing for christmas. too many unhappy ones in her childhood, or something, so she always puts tons of stuff on her credit cards.
got a lot of awesome stuff this year, really really awesome, but two things were my favorites.

Today, I made a gingerbread house- it has orange-slice-and-licorice flames in the windows and on the roof. A gingerbread man in the front yard was demonstrating stop-drop-and-roll.
It's okay, though, because jessidekick made a gingerbread mental asylum, complete with impaled gummy worms on the roof, Sharpie-brand blood just about everywhere, and a murder scene ( Read more... )
