The TARDIS was safe enough, Jo decided, and she wondered through it, listening to her iPod and humming along to the current song. Which meant that not only did she not hear the Doctor coming, but also that she wasn't quite concentrating on where she was going either. As a result, she was heading straight for him, but looking down at the screen to see what the song was called.

The Doctor was overjoyed that he'd found one of his companions so quickly, but he had to make a swift dodge to prevent her walking into him. Making a neat U-turn, he came up behind her and, suspecting she wouldn't hear him, laid a hand on her shoulder.

Jo jumped and screamed at the unexpected touch. When she turned round to see who it was she calmed down and took the earbuds from her ears. "Oh, Doctor, I didn't hear you."

"I can't imagine why, my dear." Though he was grinning at her.

"That doctor, Martha Jones, is getting together a caravan or at least a van full of people to go off to Switzerland and see if we might find some answers to the current crisis there. I thought we might join the throng. Unless you'd rather stay here."
