The Doctor, or rather the forgetful Doctor, was out poking around. It was night, most people wouldn't be out, correct? So he thought. And he didn't want to interrupt or upset anyone.

Still, a man with a telescope, especially a him with a telescope, is a person nearly begging for questions to be asked.

"What are you doing? Beyond the obvious, of course."

"Confirming the missing star count," the Doctor said to his former self around the pen in his mouth. "It's assumed. I'm checking."

It seemed like a good idea. There was very little else he could do at this moment.

The Doctor watched the other Doctor for a moment, not entirely sure what to do. His previous relations with his other self had been less than successful, and all logic told him it would be best to just walk away. But something else was still telling him he should be on better terms with his long-haired self, and despite his initial somewhat frightened hesitation, he still wanted to be friendly.

He took a deep breath, and walked over. "How's it coming?"
