You's smart!
I must say I was confused by the question about the number of planets in our solar system. Is it 9, or 10? Has Pluto been demoted and replaced by Eris? Or are they both planets? Are there any certainties left? (sorry, doing my taxes, I'm a little of whack)

When I come back, I'll bring your wedding ring
I guess lyrics as analogies only go so far ;)

American schools love to put forth silly semantic questions like these from a very early year, so I've been having to read and reread and triple read since first grade. There's only 8 planets nowadays since Pluto was demoted, though that issue gave me pause as well. I don't think Eres (?) has replaced it, I just recalled the mnemonic device "My Very Educated Mother Just Sliced Up Nine Pizzas," minus the pizzas. So, perhaps the new version should read "My Very Educated Mother Just Sliced Up Ninjas."

(and yes, analogies only extend so far, as far as I know...? that's an interestingly in depth lyric analysis for livejournal, don't you think?)

Had to check Wiki of course: Our solar system is thus considered to have eight planets: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. Pursuant to a separate resolution, the IAU has designated three dwarf planets: Ceres, Pluto, and Eris. I thought Eris (UB313 as it once was lovingly known) made it, but though it's larger than Pluto it hasn't made planet status apparently. I'll try to remember that kick-ass mother mnemonic device :)

See you tomorrow!
