They didn't look black to me. I thought it was just a shadow on his face. But I could be wrong, of course...

Yeah, I just couldn't tell. I guess I'll *have* to watch it again ;)

I haven't rewatched it yet, but it didn't seem like his eyes went black.

Since they didn't make it obvious, I figured I was just seeing things. I mean, sure there are subtleties in the show, but I don't think they would have made Dean's eyes going demon *that* subtle.
