Anyone know why Psych only seems to have 14 episodes this year?

In the past, they have had about 16 episodes (I think they had 17 for their 1st season) per season. However, during the previews for next week's episode, Mr Voice-Over mentioned next week's season finale (at episode 14). Answers anyone?

Also, now what am I suppose to watch?
