I took Lexi and Laura to Asheville with me for fall break. I got a bit of work done while I was there, but mostly spent the break relaxing. We went up to my aunt and uncle's mountain in Maggie Valley for a day, did a ride on the Great Smokey Mountain Railroad. All in all it was a pretty good break. The physics conference is finally over. Last week was probably the busiest week of my life, especially there towards the end. I was putting 13 and 14 hour days on campus. Lexi and I are the proud new owners of two kittens. Their names are Kira and Duncan. We got them on Saturday from the barn her riding instructor lives on. So far they are cute, but a lot of trouble. It is nice to have cats running around though.

I've been working pretty hard this week on planning the physics conference and just homework in general. Over the course of the past 2 days I've put about 15 hours or more into homework for E&M. It's been quite awhile since I've updated, mainly because I've been so busy. The semester has started, and though I've cut my schedule back to 14 hours so I don't almost die like last semester, it is very physics heavy. I've been back from Maine for awhile now. Long enough to have left to go on my annual mission trip with CCC and come back from that as well. Maine was great just as I had expected it to be. I am finishing my final exam, giving Teague a bath, going to work for a few hours, getting a haircut, and then I am headed to Maine on Thursday. Thursday at 5am to be exact. I just had one of the most horrifying experiences ever. Teague and Shelbie and I went out into the backyard to play, and Teague kept sniffing the pool I had set up out there.
