Sometimes slashdot disgusts me. The first article I read today was entitled 'Fedora Welcomes Women to FOSS.' FOSS, for those of you who don't know stands for Free, Open Source Software. I like horses, and getting the occasional pedicure, and playing soccer, and political debates, and getting messy, and learning how my car works, and putting things together, and I'm pretty good with a computer (be it my Mac or anyone else's PC), and I obsess over the most minor comment my boyfriend makes. I read Wired and Cosmo.

What would they do with me?

They'd call you an exception to an otherwise pretty standard rule. Other people left similar comments and were met with 'There are exceptions to every rule, not everybody fits where they're supposed to but it usually works.'

If you have a comeback for that I'd love to hear it because I didn't see any responses. I think most people gave up at this point, deciding that an overwhelmingly male, opinionated, stubborn crowd wasn't the best place to make their case.
