Character: Mireille Bouquet
Fandom: Noir, from somewhere near the beginning of the series.
Character Notes: Mireille is a highly trained assassin, an expert in hand to hand and small arms combat, a decent tracker and by necessity a skilled investigator.
History:
Mireille Bouquet was born on the French island of Corsica, the daughter and heir to the Bouquet crime family, who controlled most of the island. She was one of three children chosen as candidates by La Soldat to become ‘Noir’, a legendary assassin that has existed for hundreds of years. Her parents, however, refused to allow her to be taken by the order, and they were executed for it when Mireille was five.
She fled to mainland France with her Uncle Claude, who raised her and trained her in another of the family businesses, assassination. Mireille learned very fast, and was remarkably talented in her own right. When she was old enough, she split off with her uncle and started out on her own, making a name for herself in the underworld as a ‘Most trustworthy assassin for hire.’
She made her way in the world, setting up a home in Paris and coming and going to wherever the job needed her to be, until she received an email from a young Japanese girl named Kirika, asking her to ‘Take a pilgrimage to the past with me.’ She was going to ignore it, until the email began playing a song she remembered from her childhood, a song from a watch that her father had always carried with her, that he had been carrying when he had been killed.
She journeyed to Japan, where she and the girl were ambushed by unknown assassins. They survived, and have temporarily formed an alliance in their search for the truth behind their pasts, with the sworn promise that once they find out, Mireille will kill Kirika.
And she will.
Personality:
Mireille is a cold woman, a side effect of a life of loss and death. That isn’t to say she is incapable of emotion, there are people she loves and cares about and things that she enjoys, but in her work, and in many ways the rest of her life, she has forced herself to remain distant. She has learned to do what is necessary, when other people cannot.
She has a very analytical mind, capable of puzzling out traps and tricks with ease. The downside of that is she has a lot of trouble refusing a puzzle or a challenge, wanting to solve every one that slides across her life.
She is dedicated to her job, and extremely loyal to the concept of a ‘contract.’ Unless absolutely necessary, she will not break an agreement once she has forged one, and cannot be bribed or goaded into doing so.
Other: She’s taken from the early part of the show, so she’ll probably be doing her investigation into the Soldat’s as things go on.

Notes for the psychics: Mireille’s a trained assassin, and her mind does reflect this. She can have some very dark thoughts, and the concept of murdering someone just because they are in her way is not unusual for her. She reins this in at DDD, but it’s still there. What's okay to mention: Almost anything, really? Abilities: Mireille is an expert shot with a handgun and a sniper rifle, and is proficient in hand to hand combat. She’s also pretty decent with a computer, and cars. Easiest way to get on her good side: Be interesting. What is interesting? That…really depends on her mood. Easiest way to get on her bad side: Pry into the things she doesn’t tell anyone. Favorite person: She really doesn’t have one. Kirika, maybe? Favorite person met on the comm: Not sure yet. Prefers: She’s very picky, but not in one direction or the other. Shapeshift: Maybe? Bodyswap: Also a maybe! Try me. :D Slash: Sure, probably. Maim/murder/death: Don’t kill her, I’d be sad.
