A normal response is congrats. Mr. Sourpuss. Yeah. people tend to get married when they grow up. We are not kids anymore and we arent surrounded by as many kids as we used to be.

I don't mean this to sound offensive, but if I ever met any 22 year old today who thought that he/she was "grown up", I would laugh in their face. No, I have friends that are getting married now, and I am happy for them. I was just commenting on how silly it is that so many people are in a race to get married before they turn 23. I know 30 year olds who aren't married and are only now just starting to become interested in the idea. You know the study, that we change as much between 20 and 25 as we did between 15 and 20. I just see it as being funny that everyone is getting married at such an incredibly young age. Enjoy all aspects of life, even the parts where we are single.

And that, dear sir, is the end of my rant.

Very good point. But some mature faster than others. Some stay children their whole lives. It really depends who you surround yourself with. In your case. You are on a college campus where many people are away from home for the first time and dont have to worry about their parents. So generally they will act like kids in a wild rebelious like stage. Your also right that many people don't wait till they consider themselves grown up. Maybe being married will help them grow up.
