Okay, so, been living with Devin and his family for almost two weeks now. Looked for jobs the first week, found nothing. Seems everybody already has summer work. Since then, I've been helping his mom around the house, helping her with dinner, with yardwork, etc. Talked to USi about financial aid, they don't know more than I do. ha. Oh well. ( Read more... )

aikido is cool, but kung fu is better.

Well, my kung fu includes techniques used in aikido, particularly joint locks and grappling techniques. But it's largely pressure point strikes, which is really cool.

Working should work ou well. Job availability aughta increase here shortly, and a rather intelligent friend of mine once said: There's no reason not to have a steady job while you're in college, unless you're workload is that incredibly demanding. It just cuts into the drinking and partying time. After all, you can study in any free time, the former is unecessary anyway ( ... )

Good luck with work and stuff, Jamie! Good to see something from you. Best to you in all things, and remember this mantra:

"I will go back."

And keep in mind, if things don't work out for now, you can work them out for later. Best fortune in getting it together though. Can't offer money, so you get my mantra instead.

glad your OK, i know money is tight, but i have absolutly nothing and my mom is going to pay some of my bills till i have money. i really need that money you owe me, i could come over to Newburgh if need be, but i'm living off ramen noodles.

jamie, you know i love you but this is not cool, i went to cash the check i was so relieved to get, but they said the funds were not avaliable. please let me know whats going on.
