"Blue", for those who weren't there then, was one of my house specialties lingering from my pre-BBS days: on long weekends before we discovered girls, my high school friends would get together, do a bulk rental of the worst B-movies we could find (eg. Texas Gladiators 2020), draw up characters for RPGs and then not play them. And for refreshments, we would concoct batches of "blue": everyone would go down to the corner store and buy some pop (J0lt cola? Yes please!) and penny candy, then we would return to mix it in a blender and produce the world's worst swamp water. A few drops of blue food colouring always ensured that the answer to "What are you drinking?" could always be "It's blue!", and it became the sole constant in the recipe. It was later codified, I think, in the recipe issue of our Kithe e-mag.

You are Canadian, you come from a land of constant and total ethnic harmony. You can't be expected to understand our brutal American history.
