Star Wars babbles

I purchased the original trilogy on DVD a few days ago. I had no idea how many little things have been added/changed, and I've only just begun to watch them. Originally I was going to trash my video versions since it's so much easier to use DVDs to just see the parts I want to see. But after noticing the changes, I'm keeping them. Is it me, or are there other people out there who Just Don't Get It about Boba Fett? Cause... Really, it's a case of Not Caring with me. :P

And I totally understand about the DVD/video thinking. I'm a bit torn, myself. I oddly *like* many of the changes... but I'm emotionally attached to the originals. My brother, meanwhile, is not only of the "the newer versions are better" mindset, he is of the "the prequels are better" mindset. (I think he's crazy, despite being of the minority in actually liking the prequels for their own merits. Especially Ep. III. Heh.)

So, ultimately, I'm happy with anything that keeps fandom alive, and the public interested. As long as we get to have copies of the original version. Maybe he'll release that on DVD someday, too.

(Also, have you seen RotJ yet? What do you think of the ending?)

Ah, I like the prequels too, so you're not alone! Not better then the originals (your brother must belong to a very small % who do), but they have their good parts that make them enjoyable and re-watchable.

Oh yes, I've seen the end of ROTJ. I first saw it on the internet, before the DVD's actually came out. At the time, I thought it was stupid, but after seeing ROTS, I don't mind it as much. It's kind of a nice touch.

But is it true that they just pasted HC's head on the original Anakin ghost instead of actually using the whole body?

Are you kidding, is that what they did? Oh boy. Not 100% sure of what my stance on that is, but just replacing the head might explain why he looks... slightly off, to me. ('Course, that might have been the shock of it...)

I don't know that there's any official word, but from my limited searches on the subject, it seems that a lot of people think they just pasted Hayden's head in.
If they could edit in a new head, why not just use all of HC? It makes no sense.
