And I totally understand about the DVD/video thinking. I'm a bit torn, myself. I oddly *like* many of the changes... but I'm emotionally attached to the originals. My brother, meanwhile, is not only of the "the newer versions are better" mindset, he is of the "the prequels are better" mindset. (I think he's crazy, despite being of the minority in actually liking the prequels for their own merits. Especially Ep. III. Heh.)
So, ultimately, I'm happy with anything that keeps fandom alive, and the public interested. As long as we get to have copies of the original version. Maybe he'll release that on DVD someday, too.
(Also, have you seen RotJ yet? What do you think of the ending?)

Oh yes, I've seen the end of ROTJ. I first saw it on the internet, before the DVD's actually came out. At the time, I thought it was stupid, but after seeing ROTS, I don't mind it as much. It's kind of a nice touch.
But is it true that they just pasted HC's head on the original Anakin ghost instead of actually using the whole body?

If they could edit in a new head, why not just use all of HC? It makes no sense.
