When all else fails, just take a week off...
I did not go to class at all this week...we'll just start there.
Sunday. Called all the appropriate people for my shoot on Monday, for NOW. Confirmed everyone on my way to work. After work, tried to entice Nicole with notions of Yogurtland, but she thought better of it, so I went home. Did some internetting, then went to bed.
Monday. School holiday. Woke up, worked on Yvette's script for a while, then did some storyboarding. Headed out to Anaheim, grabbed some Del Taco, then went to Andy's place to start setting up. Mike showed up to do sound, then Robert (Mike G.'s cousin) and Casey showed up to act. The shoot went pretty well. Afterwards I sprung for pizza. Robert, Mike, and Casey left and I sat around bullshitting with Andy until around 3:30 in the morning. Went home and went to bed without any internetting.
Tuesday. Woke up, checked e-mail on my phone (I do this a lot when I don't wanna leave my covers) and saw I had an e-mail from Jules Selbo, one of the professors at school. She was letting me know that my documentary on feminism got selected to screen in the school's showcase at the Newport Beach Film Festival. I spent a good half an hour text messaging/responding to text messages about this before leaving my bed. The notion creeped into my head that since my assignment wasn't done and I was still tired that I should skip my 1:00 audio class. I text messaged Nicole and told her I could drive her into school, as I was not going in until later.
I investigated the Newport thing some more and checked the e-mail from Selbo a few more times to make sure it was for real. Around 1:30 I picked up Nicole and we stopped at Yogurtland on the way out to school. Got to school around 2:30 and I hung out in the Women's Studies office for a bit until John called about Taco Tuesday. Met John and Dana in the quad and we chatted about Newport for a bit, before Dana had to take off. John and I headed over to Del Taco where John bought me 1 Congratulatory Veggie Works Burrito. We grubbed and chatted for a bit before heading back to school. I started working on "Spiral" and things really started coming together. I snapped out of an editing daze at around 7:45, very late for class...instead of letting any sort of sense creep into my head, I continued editing until the lab closed at 9. Waited for Nicole to get out of class, then took her home. Went home, did some quick internetting, and decided to make some pasta around midnight. Grubbed on pasta while doing some internetting and finally went to bed around 2:00.
Wednesday. Woke up around 5:15 and noticed it was raining. Slowly I got up and headed out to community service. Made it in plenty of time, as others had apparently decided against picking up trash in the rain. Luckily, the rain let up by the time we needed to head out. After community service I went home, took a shower, grabbed my leftover pasta, and headed out to school. Went to the lab and started putting the final touches on "Spiral." Got Mike J. and Dana to lend their voices to complete the project. After it seemed satisfactory, I compressed it down for YouTube and DVD, then headed home. Did some internetting and posted the new video on YouTube. Played some FF7 until I fell asleep.
Thursday. Woke up and checked my e-mail in my phone, discovering I had a few comments on YouTube already. After fighting it for a bit I crawled out of bed and checked the internets, then started writing this. Now it's around 9:00 AM...I think I need some Mac and Cheese.
