That is something that would cheer anyone up, but unless you want to make it a habit, I think it might only be short-term ;)

Would she maybe feel better about going if she had a friend she trusted to go with her? I wouldn't mind at all.

You know, it strikes me that usually it's not normal to go to a girl's brother and say that they could sleep with his sister, yet your two main replies here have said exactly that.

I reckoned I could just get J here. If I can persuade her to talk to him he'll tell her she's being a prat and she'll shut up.
