You assume that even if we offered, he'd accept any help. He hasn't been abandoned, and he's just as capable as any of us of caring for himself in a place like this. It isn't as though Ron hasn't done the same thing himself, before.

He's not a third year anymore, Remus. Far from it. He's practically of age, and he's made decisions too fresh in my memory for me to deal with him on a very regular basis.

Ron is a sight more pragmatic than he's given credit for. As far as Draco goes, you may or may not be aware, but I do understand that all of you are adults or near to being adults, my memory notwithstanding.
But if I'm to understand what I've been trying to glean on my own, he needs eyes kept on him now more than he did the last time he was near to where I could see him.

I've spent a good number of weeks living out in the wilderness with Ron and Harry, and I don't know that I would have called him pragmatic about it, really, even if I suppose the City isn't the wilderness.
And what exactly is it that you've managed to glean, Remus?

There are a lot of kinds of pragmatism.
We'll just say that Harry, bless him anyway, isn't particularly a young man of a huge deal of practical propriety when it comes to speaking in public.
