Has anyone got any advice to give to a first-time business owner? And I very much mean first time, as I've no experience whatsoever, although I've got more than a bit of general life experience. It isn't a freshly starting up business either, rather-- well, it's a business which was recently started and then closed and is now attempting to change ( Read more... )

If this is just about the calming draught, I'm not taking it as often as it sounds. Just on days that are particularly difficult.

There's no need to get our wands in a knot.

The fact that you're dismissing the topic so easily is even more cause for me to want to bring it up with you, Hermione.

There are a lot of things that I can't exactly share, Remus. Decisions that aren't mine to be made.

Can't exactly share why? Can you give me a solid reason?

You're planning on taking up your old shop, then?

Planning, yes. Succeeding, well, we'll see.

Well... I reckon I know a little, thanks to the twins. I pitched in now and then when they opened a branch of their shop here.

Good! Would you like some work? You're hired. Help me before I get in over my head, Ginny. It is an exciting prospect, being able to do something like this-- what with the atmosphere being what it is at home --but also very intimidating.

Make sure you get famous loyal customers.

Do such things exist in this place?

Shall I give you a list of eligible ones?

Have you even got one? Not that I agree wholly with the blatant use of celebrity, absolutely not. But my curiosity is being aggravated now.

I don't know much, really, but I can help with the heavy lifting, if you need it.

That is, in fact, precisely what I need right now, Ron. And if you aren't very busy at the moment, I'm feeling strangely restless tonight. Or is it not strangely at all?

Either way.

I'm not busy, as it turns out, and that's probably not strange.

Well, fantastic then. You and Ginny can help me start to make some headway while I've still got the energy for it, hm?

A business?

Apparently. I owned one. Which is an assertion which Hermione has brought to me which I am not going to argue, seeing as it may be an opportunity which I would not get under any other circumstances.

Now, of all times, seemed right to look at starting it up again?

And what business would this be?

I am under the impression that it was a sweets shoppe. At which point it was renovated and turned into a jock shop by Fred and George Weasley. Who have gone and, at this point, I have a mind to convert it back to a sweets shoppe.

I've managed to get Ron and Ginny to volunteer to do some work on setting everything back into order. I'm just feeling couped up and restless. I want to get out.
