[ video post ][ A modestly-sized kitchen resolves into view-- not a very fancy one, but one clearly well lived in. In front of a large refrigerator sits a canine-- at first seeming like a very large dog, but the longer the camera stays on the subject, the more obvious it is that it's no domestic dog but a grey and brown wolf with thick fur, large ( Read more... )

[This is what a wolf would look like if it were attempting to laugh.]

[ Remus isn't laughing! Because he can't switch back. But he does appreciate the humor of the situation, so Delilah gets a stare of baleful amusement. ]

[ the camera and the mess in front of it of chewed apple and scattered biscuit are abandoned as he goes to wait at the foot of the stairs. maybe Hermione has an explanation for why it's still dark. ]

Stepping outside of Ron's room for a minute, Hermione shivers and quickly slips back inside to grab her robe, tying the sash tightly around her waist as she yawns, padding down a couple of flights of stairs, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. It's a strange sensation, sleeping in on Saturdays, but something that Ron's pretty much insisted on, after some time--Hermione could almost swear that the way his arms squeezed more tightly around her whenever she tried to climb out of bed was a conscious movement, that he was watching her through half-lidded eyes. She'd given into it, after some time, and so her mental processes weren't quite up and running, yet, particularly with no sun to act as a visual stimulant to her biological clock.

She checks her watch, the clocks on the wall, and everything says that it's already past noon. When she reaches the bottom of the stairs, she sits a couple of steps up, scratching Remus behind the ear.

"The sun hasn't risen at all, has it? ...my initial guess is that the City's cursed."

He'd woken up only an hour and a half ago himself, although he had, for obvious reasons, known that something was up. Mostly that he should have been naked and cold on the floor, and not still...neatly curled up in a corner. He'd thought to just calmly explore the area around the cabin, but had quickly found that he couldn't locate Crookshanks either, amongst the other strange things going on. So in the living room it was, until he'd gotten hungrier than was comfortable and figured, given everything, why chance being hungry like this.

Apples were fun and tart but not very satisfying, unfortunately. So he settled on enjoying his ears being scratched and breathed apple breath all over the witch with a show of nodding his head. It had to be a curse.

Now if only he could tell her about Crookshanks.

[A low growl, unprovoked, as if to say, "Why do you have that when I don't?"]
