I have to trek up north to retrieve the disc of V7 music Chris burned for me...It's only now that I feel comfortable enough putting the whole thing in my iPod and not just the same handful of mp3s I hesitated to transfer

I would be happy to share, but I doubt I have anything you don't already have, unless you are missing the stuff he did with Erica as Metastasis? That I do have, and it's pretty great.
It breaks my heart that stuff he and I did as Meat Siphon doesn't exist anymore. Looking back, it was actually good and pretty original. There may be a tape somewhere in his stuff, but I doubt it.
I was just talking about the two times he and I performed onstage together, and I regret that we never got to do it again.
Not sure how'd you like to pass it, but I'll accept on channels most convenient for you.
I remember his smile when he mentioned Meat Siphon. Promise me you'll tell all the stories from that time when we all get together next month.
I would love to formally collect his work [I hear even video evidence exists] and keep it centralized. I used to have a few of his last remixes in my possession, but they up and died with my first iPod. I guess I pushed that loss to the back of my head- it hurts a little knowing that there are little pockets of him I no longer have access to.
I'm shooting again and I miss the creative comraderie of our relationship. I doubt that even in time, we'd ever collaborate on anything, but he understood the joys and pains of art just as much as my own inner circle. When I cried nearly every day I worked on my thesis, he never let me give up.
I guess I find a little comfort in the successful pieces he did put out. I can't tell you how my heart swelled when 3-2-8 was transmitted on jwz's

I did at some point last year transferred Valve's 1996 demo from a decrepit cassette to WAV file but haven't had the time to look at them further to restore the songs. I think there are about 5 or 6 songs on it. Steve and I were playing with the idea of a Myspace page for the band at the time.
I don't remember which one was named which - one was called "Replicant" and one was called "Abort? Retry? Fail?". One was done in 1995 with the Eric/Evan/Chris lineup and one in 1996 with the Eric/Chris/Mike/Joe lineup.
I'm assuming from this thread that there is interest in this venture. I personally didn't find the rendition of the songs all too good IMO. Chris had better versions of our stuff stashed away.
Also, not long after the transfer, my cassette deck finally kicked the bucket, and I haven't had money to spare for a new one. However Evan found the 1995 one and offered to drop it into the computer from a deck he has laying around.
I find the fact that we all have work that predated easy to acquire CD burning technology FUCKING SCARY. We were Industrial when Industrial was analogue.
