I can still feel them, still hear them screaming from the inside, screaming outside. Bones pressing against me, silent cries that nobody can hear. Give up, gave up. Nothing more to say, nothing to do.
Drenched in blood, my skin desecrated. A haven turned into hell, trying to blend in. Blend and mix to fit in, pass by without danger. A reminder to stay away. No more peace, no more calm.
Storm’s over, I can feel the rain though, washing clean. Bits and pieces of people finding their matches, the shards that make them whole again.
Kaylee finally getting her desire, the captain letting himself get a bit closer to his. Zoë… Dear Zoë breaking when no one else is looking, missing Wash. He was always the funny one. Making me giggle when he didn’t think anyone could hear him. But I heard him, felt him leave too.
And that beautiful girl that loves to dance inside me. Dance with her bare feet as she sings a tune that has no meaning. She used to hear when I cried, but she’s better now. Fixed; not so broken anymore.
No matter how I’m dressed up anymore. I’ll never be able to wash away that feeling of betrayal.
