According to John Stainton, Irwin’s long-time business partner and producer of his many films, at least two more wildlife documentaries, using previously unseen film of the adventurer, will be completed within the next year.

“We’ve shot thousands and thousands of hours,” he told The Times from Los Angeles yesterday. “We never stopped filming.

I'm glad to hear that. I have to admit, I was used to seeing Terri as kind of the other half of Steve, the two of them together as partners. Since his death, I've come to really appreciate her strength and personality -- the same humor and passion that made them so suited for each other -- and I've come to admire her in her own right, not merely as Steve's wife or widow.
