It's a shame fandom is so quiet these days, there's far fewer places to really dig into her as a character. Still people around to talk to a bit, though.
:) Special indeed. I've totally enjoyed your writings and musings on Laura, so I'd like to think that those who are still into Laura at this point are interesting people who are particularly passionate and have insight to share. I kind of like how intimate the community feels, although I'm also curious about what it was like back when BSG was on the air and no one knew exactly where her character was going. :)
Yes. Oh, definitely yes. Sometimes, I'll be running to print something at work, and all of a sudden an image or thought about Laura flashes in my mind, and I have to clamp down on the emotions, so I don't freak out all my co-workers. (^_^)"
BUT OH YES. She's definitely a life-changing sort of character. ;)
Thanks for the image of someone else trying to clamp down on Laura-inspired emotions during work. :)
I totally know what you mean. I actually have a photo of her next to my computer screen. There's nothing on my desk except for my computer, a Laura photo, and a little toy butterfly that my 7 year old friend gave me.
Sometimes, on a particularly challenging client call, I look at the Laura photo and imagine I have the power to throw someone out an airlock. :)
Do you mean like today when I have the Roslin/Adama theme stuck in my head and depressing me? Or yesterday when I watched Epiphanies for the umpteenth time and saw Adar firing Laura again for getting the job done that she wasn't supposed to? Or the day before when I was listening to this and struck by how it much it must be what Bill feels? Me think about Laura? Never! :P

Thanks for the descriptions of the ways Laura runs through your mind.
And you're totally right. Bill must feel that way. Thanks for the song.
