took my gre test

and did well

i've been making things lately. and writing music again. acquiring second-degree burns over a decent sized portion of the lower half of my body really did something for my motivation. (not to mention acquiring a beautiful and somewhat expensive digital piano with 88 fully weighted keys.)

i just finished reading the world according to garp. it was wildly imaginative. sad and funny. long, but carefully written. i would recommend it to most people who enjoy fiction.

yesterday, matt and i drove to alpental to go hiking at snow lake. it's a 6 mile round trip hike with a 1200 foot elevation. i swear half the hike was switchbacks up an enourmous ridge. i cursed nearly the whole way and had to stop twice to catch my breath. grandmas and little kids passed me up the trail with ease. honestly, it was embarrassing. i am exhausted today! i've begun a daily routine (already to be skipped today) of running around seward park everyday with kodiak. i'm terribly sore. but it feels quite good to be doing something regularly again. now if only i can reach airin about yoga ( Read more... )
