Important Movie
"Food, Inc." has to be the most important movie I've ever seen. Watch this, please! What is happening with food production in this country is shocking, disgusting, cruel, disheartening, and immoral. I now find it's a moral imperative to change the powers that be and I dare you to see this movie and not change. -
New Year, new baby, and the slow death of my livejournal.
For new year Aaron, Pat, and I grilled ribs on the new smoker grill Aaron's parents gave him for Christmas. We then played the Worst Case Scenario board game. Since Aaron and Pat started drinking at 4pm (and got pretty tipsy while I was at Mass) Pat got tired and went home around 11. We ended up in bed right after that. Home Ownership
The home loan application and all required supporting documentation are in the mail. If everything moves swiftly then we could be homeowners in a couple months. Of course I certainly don't expect all things to run smoothly, but it would be nice. I know exactly what I want to do with the house if/when it becomes ours. -
Holiday Cheer
Last night Aaron cut us down a tree and we put it up together. Then I decorated the rest of the house in just one night! Strangely for me, I'm on top of it this year. Thanksgiving / I'm A Loser
Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate it! This year I'm thankful for friends and family who are pregnant. I get to live vicariously through them while we work toward financial stability and the stories of extreme heartburn, dizziness, vomiting, and nausea prevent me from having delusions of a glorious pregnancy and birth. Additions to the Family
The news has finally hit cyberspace and I'm happy to share that TWO of my sisters-in-law are pregnant! Soon I'll be an aunt to 4 boys, 2 girls, and 1 who is presently unknown! (My money is on another girl for my younger brother and his wife.) YAY ( Read more... ) -

Aaron got the job! He'll be the ski/grooming coordinator for the Noquemanon Trail Network. JOY! -
Busy!
In 16 days I made three trips downstate, each consisting of about 1000 miles round trip. The first was for a friend's wedding, the second for my sister-in-law's baby shower, and the third to go to the hospital because my father-in-law had a heart attack. He's doing better now ( Read more... ) -
Murphy's Birthday
It was Murphy's third birthday yesterday. We got him dog treats and I took him to the beach nearby which is normally deserted to play fetch. The waves were rolling in and the water was freezing cold, but Murphy happily bounced right in to fetch out huge logs.
