NEVER MIND

I thought it was natural that the three of us were together
From now until forever, that's what I thought
He was the same as me, eyes fixed on you
The difference was in the courage to confess.

You don't have to apologize. "We'll still be friends."
That's true, that's not a lie, however...

Isn't there a single thing that I can protect?
Love and friendship, secrets and promises?
The once endless sky is low today.
...I can't see tomorrow... nevertheless NEVER MIND.

I was able to keep going but
it's not pride... I just can't meet you now.

If the rain now changes to snow
I think all my thoughts will change into words
We sadly laughed... he, you, and I
That was such a painful strength.

We parted with "see you later" at the three-forked road our umbrellas bloomed open at
The two of you underneath one flower1

The rain will also surely stop tomorrow, won't it?
And I should be stronger.
I wonder if we'll be able to laugh together again someday
That's what becoming adult means. NEVER MIND.

If there isn't a night that never becomes dawn...
If there isn't a winter that never becomes spring...

You don't have to apologize. "We'll still be friends."
That's true, that's not a lie, however...

Isn't there a single thing that I can protect?
Love and friendship, secrets and promises?
The once endless sky is low today.
...I can't see tomorrow... nevertheless NEVER MIND.

1 - the flower here refers to an umbrella; it's just a rather oddly done metaphor
