After the seemingly endless drive from Pleasantview to Strangetown
Alexander couldn’t wait to get out of his father’s car and jumped out excited, as soon as the vehicle stopped.
It wasn’t his first time visiting the small town in the desert, but before he had only been there for a couple of hours at the time. Today he was allowed to stay … all day long.
His sister Cassandra waited for him, on the sidewalk as always, and after greeting him warmly,
they both waved their father goodbye as he drove away like they did every time he visited
She had moved out the family mansion some time ago, and he missed her greatly, but above all Alexander treasured every minute spent on town, not because of his older sister, but because of the dark haired woman who lived there as well….
a woman he could barely remember in blurry memories from his toddler years,
who was away for long and only recently back into their lives …

Bella Bachelor (Goth, as known by many) has been living in Strangetown since she can remember, but that is merely the last few years (Period) of her life.
From before that, she only has the recollections of facts she have discovered digging up her past and the vague memories that have surfaced over time, and that is said, over a long period time… at first she had nothing, not even a name….
The oldest thing Bella can recall with certainty is from the dreadful night when she mysteriously ended up unconscious at the bottom of a deep crater,
right by the old wreck of a crushed alien ship in the middle of the desert. …
She remembers waking up …
painfully sore and disoriented, …
on a dark night, with her body aching and barely able to see thru her drowsy eyes, …
but conscious enough to notice the ship covering the area with light and smoke, while making the floor tremble under her feet. …
It looked as it would be ready to set flight any minute, regardless of its visual deterioration. …
As quick as she was able, Bella had faced the heavy hike up the crater,
toward the tall tower that could be seen on top,
barely reaching the edge with her last remaining strength.
There, she found herself by a brick mansion located at the farther end of a small town,
but weak, exhausted and dehydrated, as she was,
Bella only managed to walk a few steps
before fainting again
in the middle of the street on Tesla Court,
being unaware of the events that followed,
until over 24 hours later when she woke up on a small hospital room,
surrounded by unfamiliar, but sincerely concerned faces,
who welcomed on their town, supported her without hesitation, and offered their help in recovering her shattered past.

It hadn’t been an easy search, though,
but after looking thru all the resources they could think about it,
the answer was one early morning right in front of their faces
… printed on the milk carton.
She was Bella Goth from Pleasantview, spouse of Mortimer Goth and mother of two
But by then, she had already acquired and settled on a comfortable home,
shared times of celebration
and pain with her friends,
experienced love …..
and the lost of it,
witnessed the most extraordinary events
and seen the town grow with new neighbors
… and new life….
That special town in the desert called Strangetown had become her home, and its peculiar inhabitants her family.
She didn’t wish to leave for a life she couldn’t remember, but learning that she had children changed it all......
