I think they'd be good friends too. In my story (but unposted :p) they seem to get along really well - they have some differences which they can't agree on, but mostly they're great friends.

I love that they played chess - it seems like exactly what Alex would want to teach his friends. And also they're all "ewww" over their parents, which I imagine would be weird for both of them.
And I thought the writing was good - I know how you feel with the being blocked thing and so I'm glad you got this out at least :)
Buck and Alex don't seam to have much in common imo and still surprises me how good they get along lol I even had problem trying to get negative reaction while making them talk ROFL! (i had to fake for the shot at the end lol) tho Alex is active and playful, that annoys Buck a bit, but he's nice on his side, so i guess that compensates :P
For some reason it was harder to keep a kid's tone now than the first time i wrote this part, tho, guess its coz now i know where the characters relations and individual stories are going.

I found your story at thesims2. The name sounded familiar and checking your profile only confirmed I was reading it at TSR long time ago. (Only lurking though, I don't have an account there)
I like your retake on it. Your images are excellent and I always enjoyed your use of lyrics with each part. It is easier to read in this format too.
I hope your planning to continue. It looks great so far.
It means a lot to me knowing about new readers and in special if someone remembers my story from that time <3
I always felt guilty it was never finished there, but there are so many details i always wished to include, but definitively couldn't add because of topic, plus the format is here allows to play a lot more around images. I like that a lot, too.

I don't just try to find any matching lyric after the post is done, at the contrary, I can't even finish an update completely until I have the right song for it, and more, many times I even changed parts of each updates just to fit the chosen lirics a bit better. I'm keeping the same ones used before as well now, except on the new parts ;)
and YES! (sorry i didn't answer... lol) Of course I'm planing to continue. I've been a bit uninspired+busy lately, but I'm coming back to this story very soon. :)

More images than text really added to the awkwardness/tension between the two kids.
I really liked the pic of Ripp and his lip wrestling partner kissing on a chair. Nice use of moveobjects (and Buck's reaction was cute).
