LotR is just the movies, or at least it traditionally has always been that way.

I also, um, have to confess that Silmarillion isn't on the list because there was so clearly interest that it qualifies. I just forgot to translate what was in my head to actual words other humans could understand. Fixed now!

Sorry, it did, and will be a qualifying fandom this year, as will Elementary. I just forgot to mention them on the list of fandoms that wasn't included in the poll because there was obviously enough interest from the earlier LJ post.

This list kind of wigs me out! There's a lot that I don't recognize and haven't seen on here. :-) is it possible to bring you to the other fandoms that made the cut on a previous version of the poll? That would be nice to know that I qualified in more than one fandom from this list.

I saw that Game of Thrones is on the list but A Song of Ice and Fire is not. Are you considering them the same for the purpose of this exchange?

We're considering them as separate. GoT was specifically asked for in the last post and ASoIaF wasn't, so only GoT was included in the poll. If fandom consensus is that they're the same, we'd of course be willing to go with that, though.

Oh, they're definitely not the same. But I was one of the people to second the nomination in that post and I found my way here via a post made at an ASoIaF community. So you have at least two nominations that were meant for ASoIaF, not GoT. :)

Just to be clear, I don't use tumblr and I wasn't offering to do it. But as far as 'trying to reach people where they are' that seemed like a way to do it.
