Thanks so much for this, I was so curious to know which story was the one picked and was pleasantly surprised to see it was this one, one of my favorites. I love how you picked Kaien/Aaroniero's point of view, and how the training went from his side. Also, including Miyako and her relationship with Kaien was great, we don't see nearly enough of them.

GEEZ. The Rukia-fake!Kaien fight was epic and now, with this fic firmly branded on my brain, it is even more epic. It's a great character/relationship piece. I love the structure of the story and the way that you are willing to play with the writing (the intermittent "STRIKE!" followed by a fragment of a thought was quite frankly brilliant).

Also, this: "I had drilled for the allotted time." Made me laugh and laugh. Oh, tiny Rukia, you and your literalness.
