This is great :-) I do like the idea that Clark just hasn't thought about there being any difference between liking people sexually and as a friend. I, too, love early Clark/Lex - I haven't really watched Smallville for ages, but I miss their glorious love of early seasons.

Thank you! I miss old school Clex, too. In the early seasons of the show, it seemed like the Kents had tried to keep Clark from getting too close to his peers, so they wouldn't notice anything strange about him. I always thought he must be especially naive because of it.
